On Friday, November 6th, the Undergraduate Academies took a trip to the NY Power Authority in Lewiston -- just north of Niagara Falls.

This week, Academies students were given the exclusive opportunity to meet Steven Lopez, author of this year's UB reads book
The Soloist. A reception was held before Mr. Lopez took the stage at Alumni Arena. Delicious snacks were provided for everyone in attendance.

On Sunday, October 11th, Academies students visited one of the world's wonders- Niagara Falls. No matter how many times you visit, it is always an awe-inspiring sight. Massive amounts of water that flow over the falls is impressive enough, but the scenic view also helps take your breath away.

Last Sunday, October 4th, members of the Undergraduate Academies participated in a focus group on how this program can improve. They were asked group questions on which a consensus was needed about issues ranging from the Ning website to programming. Afterwards, general discussion took place about the specifics of seminar, the residence halls and programming.
