Academies Joint Seminar: RENT

Students from all three sections of the Academies seminars came together for the second joint Academies sessions on Wednesday, October 28th. This meeting was designed to enrich the introduction to the Academies while highlighting an interesting and thought-provoking topic. City of Light by Light Rail - Tour of Downtown Buffalo

On Sunday, September 13th members of the Academies participated in the City of Light by Light Rail - an excursion that provided students with tips to using the metro rail to travel to downtown Buffalo and to explore the riches of our city.

The goal of this event is to teach students how to get to destinations downtown by using the metro rail.

Shared Interest Housing Informational Meeting

UA first year residents attended an informational meeting about living on the Shared Interest Housing (SIH) Floors next year. Eric Streeter, Assistant Director of Residential Education, explained the benefits of living in SIH, as well as answered questions on the lay out of rooms. Next year, UA SIH will be on floors 5, 6, and 7 in Red Jacket building 6. There are 36 spots available. You can pick up applications now in 17 Norton. They are due by February 10. NY Power Authority 11.6.09

On Friday, November 6th, the Undergraduate Academies took a trip to the NY Power Authority in Lewiston -- just north of Niagara Falls.

The plant, located about 4 1/2 miles downstream from Niagara Falls, has two main facilities: the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant and the Lewiston Pump-Generating Plant.
