Brief Biography
Hello, throughout my academic career-- six years with the Office of Financial Aid, over two years with Admissions, and four years with the Honors College as an Academic Advisor -- I have developed and maintained many relationships throughout the university community and I’m very excited to bring these skills and experiences to the Undergraduate Academies at UB!

I previously worked in the Honors College and advised students as they progressed through the program, while also working with students pursuing nationally competitive fellowships and scholarships. My academic interests and career pursuits have not always been linear, which explains why I also have a background in International Trade. I earned both my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees in Geography with a concentration in International Trade from the University at Buffalo. I pursued a career in the field in which I was educated, but I missed working closely with and assisting students as I had done as a student assistant with the Office of Financial Aid.

As an alumna and a member of the UB staff, I make a conscious effort to improve the UB experience for students from their first contact as prospective students through their alumni years. I look forward to working with Academies’ students, as well as faculty and staff university-wide that support the Undergraduate Academies.

Hey Hadar Im not too sure where to post this, but it seems like something that should be on ning. It's called eStudentNetwork and it is essentially a search engine geared toward local college students. It's the same guy who does Buffalo Rising, here is the link http://www.estudentnetwork.com/

Why do you like to frequent the Academies Office in 17 Norton?

Is it the free usage of laptops? Hot chocolate or tea? The tables, comfy chairs, relaxed atmosphere among your friends? I surely do like seeing you; you're the highlight of my job!

NY Power Authority 11.6.09

On Friday, November 6th, the Undergraduate Academies took a trip to the NY Power Authority in Lewiston -- just north of Niagara Falls.

The plant, located about 4 1/2 miles downstream from Niagara Falls, has two main facilities: the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant and the Lewiston Pump-Generating Plant. Robert Moses, one of New York's most influential planners during the 20th century, was very involved in the planning of the Power Plant -- for instance, unlike our neighbors to the North (Oh, Ca… Continue
