Event Description

What is a refugee? Did you know that 97% of the incoming population to Western NY in 2007/2008 were refugees? We’ll examine what it means to be in the USA as a refugee, the issues and challenges facing this population, and the assistance available in Western NY. Find out how you can make a difference in welcoming and supporting the refugee population.

NY Power Authority 11.6.09

On Friday, November 6th, the Undergraduate Academies took a trip to the NY Power Authority in Lewiston -- just north of Niagara Falls.

The plant, located about 4 1/2 miles downstream from Niagara Falls, has two main facilities: the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant and the Lewiston Pump-Generating Plant.
